Happy New Year!

A complimentary Front Page Update to keep you up to date on what really matters in the communities of Paradises Garage as well as the gaming world and Real Life.

There is much for us to inform you all about since last times update. This update in my mind will be very crucial for everyone. The reason being is next Thursday (6 days) is Thanksgiving (also known as turkey day, or the day where very large balloons will take over the world...or our televisions). Although the PG Gaming community is no way "USA all the way," us Americans will be enjoying something in the shape of a bird (turkey for most people, tofu bird for those afraid of realism). Although many of you non-american members out there may not be celebrating our holiday, it is a good time to give thanks to whatever your thankful for...as well as to be thankful for the great taste of "Charleston Chew!"

But what matters more than our MMORPG of RL, is our fragging rights in the virtual world (which coincidentally, divorce courts have jurisdiction over what constitutes 'cheating' in secondlife...food for thought). We will start with the latest and what may be the greatest.

Call Of Duty (5) - World At War Released

We had a chance to play this game during its beta release stage and I must say, this game was AWESOME (despite their last release of COD3). Sadly, the beta was closed thus forcing our hands to go out and buy the full retail version. This game is currently available around the world in retail stores and is now available on steam for $49.99(US). Personally, this is what I was really waiting for, which is to get this game on steam. Now that its available, its only a matter of time until we will have games going in this game with a fully up to date server (the beta server is still up and running but cannot be accessed). When we do get around to updating this server, it should still be available on the same IP/Port of 67.93.155.120:28960.

Left 4 Dead

Another recent game release, Left 4 Dead by Valve, has become some members latest desire. This game was played during the beta release by most members causing this game to have its own server (currently out of date, still set up for beta). This game is also available on steam for $49.99(US) and a server may become available to the public at the following IP/Port of 67.93.155.118:27013 so be sure to keep an eye on that.

Quake 3

Although not in anyway new to the community nor the gaming world itself, this game has now emerged as another game we have currently found time to play. PG has a fully operational and available Quake 3 server available to all thouse who want to get back into this game. 67.93.155.120:27960 is the IP/Port.

Also, {MC} now has an {MC} Community steam group which everyone is welcome to join. http://steamcommunity.com/groups/MCCommunity is the page to go visit where you are also able to join. If not, get in touch with an {MC} member to get an invite to join. We will be using this group for events (MC Reunion anyone?) and a board for you to see whats going on in this community.
