We now have several Discord servers going. They are for specific communities.

There is one for the WoW guild, One for 24/7 House Music. And of course, the original MC labs - ParadisesGarage Discord that we all know and love.

The other servers are invite only, but I am not posting an invite here.

Feel free to hop into Discord and say Hi. Even though we don't hang in the voice channel as often, we all lurk there and are still paying attention.

2020 is almost over...

And I'm sure it isn't soon enough for most of us!

So what have we been doing during the pandemic? Mostly working, trying to play some games during the downtime, staying safe. As for what we're playing these days, that's a pretty long varied list.

Any probably quite a few More I didn't mention.

We have pretty much given up on Teamspeak 3, our server is still up but no one has used in quite a while. We are all hangin' in the MC Labs Discord the official MC Paradisesgarage community Discord. Join us if you haven't already!

So, in 2016 gaming is all OVER the place. We have so many great games to choose from, it's akin to finding yourself in a candy shop with ADHD and a sweet tooth. If we want to play a MOBA, there's DOTA 2, LoL, or Heroes of the Storm. Like survival games? There's great games like ARK, Rust, or The Forest. The number of good MMOs out now makes it daunting to start one let alone invest time, simply because you could be missing out on the next big thing. Looking to the future, we have Star Citizen, Mass Effect: Andromeda, Doom, Battleborn, and Overwatch just to name a few. All potentially great games. Lastly, let's not forget that this is the year Virtual Reality is really getting its foothold on gaming with the release of Oculus for PC.

To Business: it has been a while since everyone has been active in posting about their various adventures in games, the interwebs, or real life. So, let's help kick start the initiative to get more involved with each other. Whether our adventures have been in real life or a digital playground, let's post some pictures or blog about it in the forums. Several members right now are playing The Division and have already taken screenshots of some fun times they've had. Let's get those posted to media for everyone to see! Personally, I'm trying to get a MC Labs guild started in Black Desert Online, so hopefully I'll have some funny screenshots and stories to post on the forums.

To sum it all up, let's start sharing our thoughts and experiences with each other again. We're all unique, awesome individuals with a new perspective to put on things. Post your story, ask for advice, hit us up with that dankest meme! After all, what's the internet for if not to share information and network (and kittens, can't forget kittens)?

This is a collection of dozens of Minecraft Mods all packaged together nicely in a ready to play launcher that keeps all of your mods up to date and ready to play.

Some of us still dabble in Minecraft, AO, Dystopia, CS:GO, TSW, WoW (yes even WoW...), and a few other random games. Most of us are still dedicated PC gamers forsaking the trappings of DLC and the lack of customization that the console users enjoy.

I am still involved with the AO community and host the AOSpeak server. A TeamSpeak server dedicated to the players of Anarchy Online. This is an ambitious project now in it's second year, providing a place for all AO players to communicate. There are free channels dedicated to any Organization (AO's equivalent of a guild) that can be automatically setup and controlled by the Org's leaders. You must join via an in-game bot named Speak, this is done by sending a tell to the bot in game. Instructions and connect links are then provided by the bot. The bot associates your in-game Alt (character or Toon) ID with your TeamSpeak ID. This enables the bot to show who is online in-game or who is the leader of an Org etc. Visit the AOSpeak site and Forums for more information.

As some of you may know. Funcom's new MMO The Secret World has been in Beta for a long time now. I have had the privelege of being in the Closed Beta since last year. I unfortunately did not have enough time to properly enjoy it, however the little bits that I have seen are amazing! I did manage to get my hands on a bunch of closed beta keys and promptly gave them away to anyone who seemed interested.

The Beta phase is over and the Game will be going live on 7/3/2012. For those who were smart enough to Pre-Order the game early access begins on 6/29/2012, 4 days before the official launch. I am one of those early access players and will get in as early as I can and make a new home for MC Labs.

I know of several community members that will be discovering The Secret World. If you haven't checked it out yet, it's a must see game! Very original, in both theme and design. Best GUI in a MMO so far.

I don't want to go into too much at this time. I will say that our MC Labs site will be used for TSW and AO moving forward.

Anyways, as most of us know Portal 2 came out just yesterday at a midnight, well 12:30 AM EST, early release. Valve had the entire Steam gaming community playing a dozen games from their April Fool's prank release and people were starting to think whether they were being trolled because it took an eternity to complete a game. I do believe that Valve planned to do a midnight release all along, but just used this to play with the community. During the final minutes of the countdown GLaDOS had cheated her way into insta-finishing the last two games (Killing Floor and Super Meat Boy) required to restart her systems and initiate the release. A good batch of us started to play and have been quite pleased over all with the gameplay and story. I have completed both the Single Player and Multiplayer (Coop) campaigns and can fully say that it was overall much more invigorating and exciting than Portal 1. I was a little disappointed with the Coop being too easy and a bit short, but it was still good regardless. The ending for the Single Player campaign was extremely well done, the credits song was decent but still not as good as Portal 1's. The total amount of gameplay to complete everything is about 10 hours, 5 hours each for Single Player and Multiplayer depending on who your partner is.

A well known feature to Team Fortress 2 is hats, and Valve did not waste any time adding this feature to Portal 2. You can buy in-game clothing (hats, flags, etc.) to modify your Cooperative Testing robots. There are a variety of items to buy from, but you can buy everything in the store currently for about $30-$40 with the discount package they have (a money grab I know, but who cares it's Valve). I guess you could call it Portal 2's Limited Edition *harhar*. There is also a trading option available, but it is currently unavailable and will probably be added later on as well as other store items. Another little feature they added to the main menu was an interactive trailer for the movie "Super 8", I had no idea what this was but the scenes were outstanding, the Source engine has come a really long way.

Let's see...what else can I ramble on about...As everyone knows, Valve is a leading supporter of Mods and Indie development. The SDK for Portal 2 has not yet been released yet but it will be later on. We can expect a lot of mods from the gaming community and get even more, challenging, puzzles. If you haven't grabbed it, you can get it for $35 at Amazon or a few other places that are doing discounts. The PS3 version of the game is pretty much a 2 in 1 deal, one for your PS3 and one for your computer. So that wraps it up for the Portal 2 segment.

In other news:

Minecraft 1.5 was released with many new features
Minecraft will be phasing out of beta in November this year
Duke Nukem Forever was delayed another month and will release June 14th (NA), June 11th (INT)
AMD/ATI released its Dual Chip video card 6990 this month, fan is loud but still packs a punch
nVidia also released its Dual Chip video card GTX590, packs a punch as well, but there is little room for OCing (nVidia removed key parts to not allow voltage OCing)
Diablo 3 will have more content overall than Diable 2 period [Interview Clickeh]
Crysis 2 ends up being a slap in the face for PC gamers, no DX11 on release only DX9 [Patch supposedly coming with DX11]
- Also, no sandbox editor
Battlefield 3 looking amazing, but we'll have to wait till November to see if it is or not
Elder Scrolls: Skyrim still in development
Nintendo released the 3DS
Call of Duty: Black Ops to be releasing Mod tools in May (Good news?)
Dragon Age II releases, a lot excited about hidden DRM and shorter than expected campaign
Rumors about Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo preparing next-generation console dev teams

On a side note: I saw that Portal 2 was nicely sponsored by ATI, was getting excellent 300 FPS while playing in Windowed Mode.w

OK, OK. Yes it has been a long time since Paradises Garage has been updated with some new news. But I am here to explain.

As it was evident in our last front page update, we are/we're playing Anarchy Online. Anarchy Online gave us the opportunity to expand our community through the development of the MC Labs Org and with that, this site was not functioning very well to provide appropriate material for our new demographic. This does not mean that Paradises Garage or MC is now defunct, rather far from it. We felt that it would be more appropriate to open up a new site dedicated to our Anarchy Online patrons full of resources that anyone would expect from MC and Paradises Garage. With that said, at the top of this page in the menu bar, there is a link to the MC Labs site for anyone to check out, especially if you are here for AO material (www.mc-labs.org/mcweb3). Please keep in mind that that site is still currently under development (It is fully functional, but still have some kinks to work out).

But enough with the old, were here with the new. I am proud to say that we have actually found a new game to play, that game being Minecraft. If you haven't heard of Minecraft, I fear that you have either been living under a rock for the last year or have spent that time trying to find the secret room in Starwars_Trench2. Nonetheless, Minecraft is a sandbox game based on a very simple java engine. As unsatisfying as that sounds, Minecraft brings very interesting concepts to the table. One of those being the near infinite play area of the server. If you spawn and immediately start walking in one direction, by the time you make it to a boundary, you will wonder how your fellow man settled on Mars (its OK, you were on the Ringworld the entire time). Below the endless surface, there are intricate mazes of mines that are also open to exploration in which you can find your materials to start the building process. Yes, unlike garrys mod, you cannot spawn materials and just start building, oh no, you gotta work to utilize that imagination.

Now, this game is not free, but its not overly expensive either. go to www.minecraft.net and buy yourself a copy. It is about $20 dollars a copy which isn't a killer compared to all those Call of Duty's you have bought over the years. Once you buy an account, the downloader is very small and will take no time to download, install and start playing. Once you have all of that taken care of, join us in our Team Speak and we will give you our server information - (Will very likely be posted on the site once I clarify with ParaDOX that is OK to publish the server information).

A few other plugs I want to throw into this edition of the Front Page News since it has been 9 months or so since you last had one. Portal 2 is up for preorder on Steam. I don't know that many people who disliked Portal 1 so if you were a fan of the game, you definitely want to be sure to get a hold of the preorder to save 5 bucks off the overall cost of the game. If you haven't played Portal, if you join the TeamSpeak and talk to me, I have a few full copys I can gift over so you can try it out.

Duke Nukem Forever actually has a release date - Enough said!

And finally - I have always been dedicated to pushing free advertisements for team Dystopia, but this time, its not about Dystopia. A few months back, Team Dystopia became Puny Human Games and is currently in a closed beta for their supporters for their upcoming game Blade Symphony. Blade Symphony is a source mod melee game where players go head to head with only swords in very attractive surroundings. I personally don't know too much about the game since I have yet to have tested it, but you can check out more information on the game at http://www.blade-symphony.com/

So, where do I begin?

Well, you start off in newbie island, where you have to talk to Brandon Thor... wait, wait... that's old news.

If you don't already know, the MC Labs Org (guild) in Anarchy Online has been making its name, and becoming a buzz-word on the Rimor server for quite some time now amongst the elite players of possibly the best mmorpg ever made. How so you may ask? Well, let's make a list shall we:

- It has become well known that MC Labs is responsible for the discovery of the Shadowlands.

- Due to the brilliance found amongst MC Lab org-members, a research experiment gone awry alerted the Aliens to the presence of life on Rubi-ka.

- MC Labs is now famous for their "Buff Bank" that has become well established in the heart of Borealis, where newbs and penniless players alike can come at any time and receive limitless free buffs at peak hours.

- Our fearless Org leader, known as Paradox, has struck fear into the hearts of the elite. His shrewd business tactics easily strong arm the best wheelers and dealers in the game to fork out more for less in a harsh economy that brings even the rich to their knees when acquiring phats.

- Many people respect the MC Labs organization so much so, that it is not uncommon these days for someone to hand you free credits for no reason at all.

The above list is only a taste of what we do and who we are in AO.

The real news today I save for last:

Due to the quick marketing sense of Paradox and the fearless members of the MC Labs org, we have recently acquired a beautiful large org city. Within days, people have already begun flocking in from all over Rimor to catch a glimpse of MC Lab Splendor. Toons, ready and eager to spend a mil or two will find no better place to spend their hard earned ingot pearl sector 10 credits than in our player shops.

Now...(Queue Epic music) Feast your eyes on these rare and soon to be famous photos of our beautiful org city. This is truly an exciting time to be an org member of MC Labs on Rimor. Dystopia 1.3 will released this Friday, September 10th. It is a free HL2:Orange Box mod available for download over steam. The following is the release article

"We're pleased to say that we're finally nearing the end of the road with version 1.30. Dystopia's upcoming patch will add Steamworks functionality, bug fixes, balance tweaks and a host of other download-worthy changes all on top of the Orange Box engine. We're very excited to be nearing the end of this leap for us, as bringing over Dystopia to a newer engine, performing code rewrite after code rewrite and frequent map recompiling, has made us more impatient than ever to share it with the general public.

Between the last news update and now, longstanding Dystopia third party map developer Fedio was made into an official Dystopia developer. With him, he brings the community favorite Fusion and a lot of level design talent. Fusion has since received a design and art overhaul and has quickly escalated itself to the favorite among Supporters who have played it. We're very excited to show for the first time, the official 1.30 revamp and release of Fusion!

As a general announcement, we would like to let everyone know that our Supporters program will be taking a hiatus after the release of 1.30. Supporters will still have all of their perks available to them, however you will be unable to donate and become a new Supporter during this period. We will be making some fundamental changes to the program which all the current Supporters will benefit from -- but more on that later! Support now if you'd would like to get in on the good stuff for the future!

So really... it's time for us to push 1.3 out the door, like a mother bird first gives the gift of flight to a newborn. We hope that the community enjoys this update to Dystopia that we have labored so hard on; we certainly enjoy it! Dystopia version 1.30 will be released on Friday September 10th over Steam. We have no exact time when it will be released, as that's not determined by us, but we hope that everyone will join us in our IRC Channel on Friday to patiently await the release!

Well, it's 2010...

Yeah I know it's a been a while since the last update. But there hasn't been too much worth posting on the front page.

What have we all been up to? There are two new MC's, Axile and Swordguy. We have been playing all kinds of games these days and not staying too long on any particular ones. One staple around here has been COD4 Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare with a new Star Wars Mod, Galactic Warfare by Black Monkeys.

In other news...

Infinity Ward has succeded in their plan to have COD MW2 drop off in popularity due to the lack of real multiplayer support and a short single player campaign. According to Xfire's Game stats, Call of Duty Modern Warfare is in second place for the last 83 days. Modern Warfare 2 enjoyed a brief popularity but from what I see on my friends lists, it has steadily diminished since the first few weeks of it's release. The popularity of the previous versions carried into MW2 but MW2 can't stand on it's own like the other games in the series. I'm not saying it isn't popular or not being played, it's number 4 on the X-fire list as of this writing, but it should have been number one or two below WoW and stayed there for a long time. As far as I am concerned they dropped the ball big time. I for one will not even consider this game for the single player until it's about $10. Considering that COD4 hasn't changed in price for quite some time I have a long time to wait.

It's almost time to get back into Anarchy Online...

This blog post needs no introduction. We are in the final stretch of the release of the most anticipated FPS sequel of the season. November 10th, 2009 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 hits the shelves (or steam store for those who prefer digital distribution). Up to this point, I, along side hundreds of thousands of players, could not keep our eyes of the amazing trailers and other game spoilers which only increased our temptations 10 fold like a dog receiving table scraps on Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, this past weekend a 'spoiler' has horrifically turned our once begging desires into sour despise. That spoiler being the death to freedom of individualism, unity and choice in both the interactive and competitive gaming communities. Welcome to the Age of Gaming Socialism.

I have always been one for simplicity in my gaming choices. I game with the members of the MC/Paradises Garage community any time available. If there is a community member playing a game that I want to play, you bet I would be joining that same server right behind them. Most typically the server I would be joining would be an {MC} Paradise server. I know what I like, and that's fellowship in community and familiar surroundings, hence my choices. And unless you sported a [CoR] tag, I respected your being and opinion because it was most likely like mine: you know what you like, and what you like is fellowship through community and familiar surroundings. There is no idea to trump that logic. This is the gaming we know and love. With Modern Warfare 2, this is a thing of the past.

Modern Warfare 2 introduces you to a new reality where Infinity Ward (The creators of Call of Duty MW2) tells you where to go, who to play with and what your going to play. All made possible by the recent announcement that there will be 'no dedicated servers.' With this brilliant concept, Infinity Ward helps simplify your already simplified choice in server choice. So Instead of loading your favorites, and choosing one of the only 2 servers you play at, you get to press a similar 'join game' button which magically whisks you away to a server with a potentially similar excitement and fun level as Delaware. Upon entering this whimsical cesspool of unnecessary e-thugs and hypocritical logic-enforcing 'mature' peace-keepers (which reminds you of political gerrymandering of a more racist America), you will find sanctity in the one player who prefers to use the team chat for the use of strats rather than the reinforcement of MTV's latest update on rapper wars, who will then quickly part from you upon the next map change. After about 20 minutes of feeling the metaphorical chains of oppression you will probably enter a state of appreciation for gaming communities...if you do not quit the game first.

But there is a way to prevent this from ever happening, because after all I only saw that in my flashforward. First of all, everyone should sign this petition to allow dedicated servers. Dedicated servers is the absolute essence of PC gaming, for it is the oasis for communities, clans, orgs, guilds, mods, and game-play that we are all ready accustomed to. To sign this petition, please visit http://www.petitiononline.com/dedis4mw/petition.html and sign. This is serious business (just like everything else on the internet), and thus should be signed with all seriousness. Secondly, If you preordered this game, I would recommend canceling that preorder. That does a few things. 1, it saves you money and time. Since this game is going to be distributed through steam for security purposes, preordering a digitally distributed game would be like calling in your order to McDonald'ss for it to be ready in a few hours. 2, a sufficient reduction of preorders upon a singleconceptt will scare the hell out of this company just trying to make a buck. 3, why waste your money on a game where you may have to experience the feelings portrayed in the paragraph above?

After such an outcry that has gone on these last few days, I see no fear in the above example coming true, but until this changes, I for one will not fall victim to gaming socialism.

Front Page News - July 4th 2009

Happy Independence Day to all of our American community members, and to everyone else, have a nice weekend!

Safely enjoy the fireworks! I'm probably gooing to stay home and watch them on TV this year while gaming online.

The Game of choice these days is Anarchy Online. For those of you who have played AO in the past you should take another look into it. There is a ton of new content, new expansions and of course there is the Free accounts (Froob Account) which are still tons of fun. Other than the upcoming Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 there aren't any other games I'm interested in for now.

There are a few new voices in Ventrilo these days. Jump in and say Hi. We also added a Ventrilo status bar to the Server list so you can see who is on without joining in, not sure if that is a good idea or not, lol....

In other news... Several celebrities have recently passed away.

It seems like Troop died again (figuratively speaking). He has once again faded into obscurity.... oh well it's fun while it lasts...

Spring Anime Update 02

Now that a month has passed since the start of the Spring Anime Season I thought I might as well give an update, since I finished all the survival achievements for L4D.

Naruto Shippuuden Movie 02:
The second movie of Naruto Shippuuden has been released sub by DB. It's what you would expect from a Naruto movie, not enough screen time for Kakashi or any other character but Naruto and other main character that the movie is based around. If they had shown more fighting for any other character it might have been better, but no they wouldn't do that. And as you would probably predict, a new Rasengan was created, "Tornado Rasengan", basically a rasengan infused with nine-tails chakra. Got to see some new movies from Sasuke, but still boring as hell.

Naruto Shippuuden Series:
Currently on episode 107, they're basically just stretching the filler on and on, approximately 4+ filler episodes still to come.

Bleach Series:
Currently on episode 217, back on the main storyline where Aizen and his gang of minions reach Kurakura Town that has been moved to Soul Society and lots of good fights to come soon, hopefully.

Eden of the East:
Currently on episode 4, Has a very interesting storyline, character development still on going but so far...It's based around a 12 people called "Selacios", and they are in a group called "Noblesse Oblige" (with wealth, power, and pristige comes great resposibilities). These 12 people were selected in Japan and each given 10 billion dollars to save the country (Japan) from whatever is going on. The anime is based off of one of these Selacios, specifically number 9, and he had his memories erased or at least made it so he can't remember anything, but will begin to remember them later on. And so he has to find out what he is, what he did, and why, probably by chasing down the other Selacios.

Pandora Hearts:
Currently on episode 4, think the storyline is just dragging on and on, and it's boring me. Will drop sooner or later.

Tears to Tiara:
Typical RPG style anime, quite interesting, storyline could use some work but it's alright. Currently on episode 4

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete OAV
A complete redone version of the Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Movie. Has many new scenes and more plot. Haven't seen it yet, still getting it.

Final Fantasy VII: On the Way to a Smile, Episode - Denzel OAV
A small OAV on a character, touched by the lifestream and dying, whom encounted Cloud, Tifa, and Marlene. Very good for those whom don't know the history behind Final Fantasy VII.

Valkyria Chronicles:
Plot and characters are developing quite nicely, if only I had a PS3 I would definitely play the game. Currently on episode 4. Based off of a PS3 Tactical Strategy RPG with a unique battle system.

The Tower of Druaga - The Sword of Uruk:
Finally up to episode 10 HQ subbed.

Jigoku Shoujo - Mitsugane:
Finally finished all 26 episodes subbed. Very very good for those who like the craziness of people and their will to do anything to get their revenge, in this case "Hell Correspondance" and sell them to hell. Had a very good turn out in the end.

Chrome Shelled Regios:
Currently on episode 16. Still liking it, can't say many things bad about it, good action and good plot. Characters could use a little working on but it's alright.

Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood
Currently on episode 4. Still just compiled episodes of the first season and still very comical animation, not like that will change. O well I personally, don't like it still, but that's just my opinion.

And I guess that's it for now, more to come later? Maybe....next update will probably be Summer Anime Season.

Here is the anime i've currently seen:

Asura Cryin' - Some sort of weird spiritual mecha anime, probably won't get into it.
Eden of the East - Assassin/Terrorism training or something like that looks interesting.
07-GHOST - Have no idea what this is supposed to be about, but not gonna watch.
Shinkyoku Soukai Polyphonica Crimson S - Shinkyoku Soukai Polyphonica, not gonna watch.
Senjou no Valkyria -Gallian Chronicles- - Based off of a PS3 RPG that is about to or has already come out. Game looks pretty good, storyline is alright. Gonna continue to watch.
Shangri-La - Based in the future, carbon emissions are taxed and such, going to watch for a bit.
咲-Saki- - A supernatural mahjong anime, probably not going to watch it.
Tayutama - Supernatural demons from 500 years in the past, meh, not going to watch.
Tears to Tiara - Based off of a RPG, may not watch.
Dragonball Kai - Dragon Ball Z the Remastered Edition
K-ON! - Some sort of light comedy anime, not going to watch.
Pandora Hearts - Based off of a RPG, probably not going to continue to watch.
Guin Saga - Just saw the preview of it, looks kind of stupid, RPG based maybe.
Phantom～Requiem for the Phantom～ - Assassin training or something like that, probably not going to watch, didn't quite catch my attention.
Sengoku BASARA - Definitely not going to watch this, it's like the animated Dynasty Warriors, all the main characters with superhuman strength.
Shin Mazinger Shougeki! Z-Hen - Extremely old school style animation mecha. Not going to watch.
FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST - Brotherhood - Reconstruction of the entire FMA anime to follow the manga better, hopefully. It's more comedic than the first one I think. Currently on episode 2.
Hanasakeru Seishounen - Some sort of stupid romantic comedy, not going to watch.
Slap-Up Party -Arad Senki- - I can't really remeber what this was about, but I don't think I liked it.

So that's about it i guess, more updates later? maybe..

Well, April fools is over...

The funny thing is how few even noticed or cared....

So now for the real site update!

Some of which was said is true, such as: This was originally a House Music site, and then became a gaming site. However as all of you know, this is now much better known as a Gaming community so it will remain. There is no reason we can't have the House music stuff going on as well. The game server have dropped in their popularity, gone are the days of full servers for us. CS1.6 is still fun but essentially most people have moved on. So while I think we should shut down most of the servers we will not shut them all down. I am going to post a vote in the forums to see which servers you all think should be saved.

We are keeping the COD4 and CODWaW servers up of course because that's pretty much all we play these days. So Join us and get in the Vent!

Front Page News - April 1, 2009

The format of the site is about to change.

This site was originally a House Music site, then it became the gaming site that we all know. However, it has become static, no one is really using the site as a gaming site. I have become more into the music and have decided to switch the site and community back to it's original format.

There is already a small following of people who have been listening to the music I have been streaming with the help of my close frien John Mateo of Mateo and Matos fame.

This is the end of an era...

I see very little interest in the site or the servers these days so, it is time to move on.

Some of the changes that will be coming up:

Game servers will be shut down shortly.
Main Ventrilo will either become the new House music chat medium or shutdown
Admin Ventrilo server will stay up for now.
Both Streams will be utilized for House music.
Game related Forum content will be moved to the archive, accessible but archived.
New Music forums and groups are being created to facilitate the House Music communities needs.
Anime Blogs can stay as long as they like due to the fact that they are still updated and read.

P.S. Troop is no longer here. Troop has left the building. he has moved on to other things.

So to finish off, Gundam 00 and Soul Eater are now officially finished and all subbed. Both endings turned out pretty well. There will also be a Gundam 00 Movie coming out sometime in 2010. The notice was shown after the ending of the last episode of Gundam 00. Hopefully it will turn out better. Blade of the Immortal is done as well in terms of subbing, didn't get into that series that much after the first three episodes.

Although this series was pretty decent, it could have been much better. I do miss the epic mecha battles like they had in Seed/Destiny, although there were some decent fights it is more technology and story development than pure epic fights. Total of 25 episodes, currently on episode 24 (subbed) which was just released this Sunday. Guess that's all I have to say about that. A good series to watch bunch of lawls everywhere.

Minami-ke Okaeri: (Ends March 29th) (ANN)

The beginning of this series wasn't that attractive, but I still continued to watch it. It got much better around episode 10 and the fights and battles just got better and better. Zoku Natsume Yuujinchou: (Ends March 30th) (ANN)

The website upgrade is complete!

I have been working on this upgrade since last year, and was planning on finishing it "eventually", most of you know how my scheduling is... However a major security update forced my hand and I had to complete the upgrade sooner than planned. Basically the site is the same, it's still based on Community server, but now it's the latest version 8.5 SP1. The Upgrade went smoothly all that was basically required is recreating the theme based on one of the new themes.

Downloads and Phots have been merged into the Media Gallery. It now supports various media file types and most file types.
User no longer get a personal Photo Gallery. Not a mojor loss because most users didn't even use this feature. I deleted the empty galleries of all users that were not members of the following groups:

In Other News...

Left 4 Dead is the most played game in the community these days, and our server does see some usage. There are some remnants of Age of Conan still around. Call of Duty World at War would be played a lot more if we could get our server up and running. We are missing the CD version of the files that can be patched for dedicated server. Counter-Strike will be picking up the pace again once we release our new Map and Mod. Still a work in progress! More info here

A complimentary Front Page Update to keep you up to date on what really matters in the communities of Paradises Garage as well as the gaming world and Real Life.

New Starwars Map and Mod Coming soon!!!

The MC Mapping Community team headed by ParaDOX have been working on a new Starwars Map for CS 1.6. This promises to be a challenge both to us and the HL1 engine. The test compiles are already taking 10 + hours to complete. This map will make the starwars_trench series look small. We will announce the Beta testing for the map as soon as we are ready for the Beta stage. Check the Beta forums for more info.

Simultaneously the MC Modding Crew headed by Astraea (DarkMidoriko) are also working on a CS 1.6 Starwars Mod. It is already in the final stages of Alpha development. We will be setting up a dedicated server for this in the near future.

The combination of a new map and mod should keep the CS 1.6 starwars fans busy for months!

Call Of Duty (5) - World At War Released

We had a chance to play this game during its beta release stage and I must say, this game was AWESOME (despite their last release of COD3). Sadly, the beta was closed thus forcing our hands to go out and buy the full retail version. This game is currently available around the world in retail stores and is now available on steam for $49.99(US). Personally, this is what I was really waiting for, which is to get this game on steam. Now that its available, its only a matter of time until we will have games going in this game with a fully up to date server. When we finally get the Dedicated server files, it should still be available on IP/Port of 67.93.155.120:28960.

Left 4 Dead

Another recent game release, Left 4 Dead by Valve, has become some members latest desire. This game was played during the beta release by most members causing this game to have its own server (currently up to date). This game is also available on steam for $49.99(US) Our Public server is available to any member of our Steam MC Community and their friends at the following IP/Port of 67.93.155.118:27013 so be sure to keep an eye on that. The server is currently setup for Versus mode. Just join the server and have your friends follow you.

Quake 3

Although not in anyway new to the community nor the gaming world itself, this game has now emerged as another game we have currently found time to play. PG has a fully operational and available Quake 3 server available to all thouse who want to get back into this game. 67.93.155.120:27960 is the IP/Port. If you have Xfire you can click the link on the server list on the left to auto join us.

Also, {MC} now has an {MC} Community steam group which everyone is welcome to join. http://steamcommunity.com/groups/MCCommunity is the page to go visit where you are also able to join. If not, get in touch with an {MC} member to get an invite to join. We will be using this group for events (MC Reunion anyone?) and a board for you to see whats going on in this community.

New Year's Anime Update Part 3

Small mini-update for the New Year, relates to the first new anime of Part 2. Have a gameplay video of the Touhou game.

So yeah....that's an intense vertical shooter. Gonna try it out myself now =D

Ok....this game is just amazing!!! The most addiciting vertical shooter ever!! Kind of amazing how one person made this as well. Gonna add the links now....

Touhou 11 (東方地霊殿　～ Subterranean Animism.)

Direct X Updater - This is only if you are missing dx files that the game needs - Mirror

Now i dont know if you need the japanese language files for this game as i already have it installed. So if you do you can always install it with your windows cd/dvd.

Controls:

Movement: Arrow Keys
Attack 1 (Basic Firing): Z Key
Attack 2 (Special): X Key

Difficulties:

There are 4 different difficulties, Easy, Normal, Hard, and Lunatic....Note...lunatic is literally suicidal. Attacks move so fast cant dodge them without super moving dodging abilities. Plus shooting them? As you shoot your movement slows down.

If you have nothing to do for the New Year....then try this game out...my first official game of the New Year. And it is AWESOME. There are other Touhou games that i'll link up to later once i test them out first. So go try it out!

Musoukakyo: A Summer's Day Dream (2008/12/29)

This is the first episode of the "Touhou Anime Project". The Touhou Anime Project is a doujin, meaning that it's not made by people in paid commercial animation studios, for the most part. The anime project is based off of a vertical shooting game called "Touhou" created by Team Shanghai Alice (ZUN). It is a doujin (non-commercial) game and is almost made entirely by 1 person, ZUN. It's a shooter that focuses on dodging enemy bullets more than the shooting part, and the bullets which come at you are designed in very beautiful patterns. The game takes place in a Japanese fantasy setting with well designed characters. So basically the Touhou Anime Project is a fan work from the game Touhou and was approved to be created. Already watched the first episode and for a doujin work it's actually pretty well done. So here's the youtube of the trailer.

She meets a captivating freshman named Mariya who fits her criteria — except her seemingly ideal mate happens to be a cross-dressing sadistic boy. End)

Hajime no Ippo: New Challenger (2009/01/06)

(Plot: Ippo Makunouchi continues his boxing career and his goal on knowing the meaning of being strong, and the desire on fighting his idol Ichiro Miyata once again. Along him are pro boxers Takamura, Aoki and Kimura that each one of them aspire to their own dreams. End) This anime has done pretty well in the past (many spinoffs and sequels), although it ain't my sort of thing, considering the lack of good anime coming out this season i may watch it. And yes...the youtube video is in french...was the only trailer on youtube.
