I found some old links while cleaning up some server stuff. The funny thing is a bunch of them are still live! The links on some these old pages likely don't work, they may point to systems or services we no longer use or support. For instance: Psychostats! Anyone remember that?

Most of our Game servers are down due to lack of use and or interest. Most if not all of the servers are still around but they are stopped.

If there is any interest in playing any of the old servers let me know and I will bring the server up for as long as desired.

Some of this is resource related. We keep changing games that we host and some of them have had conflicts with the old servers so we stopped them to play the newer games. If there is a desire I can make resources available to host the old servers. I do bring them up once in a while.

Games Like Space Engineers, FTB Revelations and a few others are currently somewhat active.

ok anyway!!! Im Rush and Im going to give you a life story.

On April 29th 1989, I was born down in Baldwin Mississippi and......

ok were going to skip to my online involvement. One day, when I was in the 8th grade, my friend brought me to this online radio station. It was a great online radio station and I became a DJ on that radio station (which is why i know practically everything when it comes to the shoutcast station/broadcasting and software. Someone on that radio station brought me to this website (which I no longer participate with) and I stuck around there for a bit while Dj'ing. The owner of that radio station got me involved in a game called Americas Army (the very first version before they patched it about 500 times) and i got extremely good at it ( I was like honor 67). One sad day that radio station died out, so I stuck around on that website that someone gave me. While sticking around on that site, I met a guy named zaq101 who told me that i should play counter strike. Sadly, I didnt have the money to pay for Counter Strike so i had to beg. I finally got a steam account from the guy who got me into Americas Army because he hated counter strike. The first server I played at on Counter Strike was CoR. I no longer play at CoR. I play at MC. In CoR, I jumped through many different clans like almost everyone who can get a few kills in counter strike. One day Zaq101 became the leader of a clan called KA. Because he became leader of KA, i was allowed to join KA. Long story short, zaq101 hacked and he no longer plays counter strike and got kicked out of KA so im no longer in KA. So while being clanless, i just trolled around counter strike communities, mainly CoR, but occaisionally the MC Anarchy Server.

ok, im tired of typing this, no really, this is boring. Long story short, I have found MC as a new home and are currently in MC.

i have been here for 2 years at least. I'm one of the admins on the MC servers. And I'm in the clan SR (i think im still in it lol)

and i have made my own clan to what is some what dead now lol name SSZ..

i play CS 1.6 and a few other games and some with dark and doded

first guy i ever seen was dark. it was funny playing with him. he will always use his admin powers to own eveyone lol. Then over time para gave me admin (ty u para :).

few more things

1: my spelling does suck lol

2: I do run my own server/website to pass time :)

3: Some in the server know me for llamaing everyone lol

4: I will be helping Dark with his Anime blog to.

To those of you fortunate enough to have missed meeting me, I am the scrublord known as Adriox!

Been a longtime gamer of all varieties specializing in FPSs and anything that features flying. Met Drambilia just over a year ago playing the horror that is Dirty Bomb and have been triggering admins ever since. You name it I've probably played it or some variant of it! While not a member of MC-Labs proper, I'm glad that they have been incredibly welcoming and let me butt into their game-time and their TS!

So, it has been 5 years since the last post about yourself. I think most people involved in the community now have met me at some point by now, but ah well here goes!

My name is Casey, but I go by Swift in games to those that don't know me yet. I have a degree in biochemistry, love to read, love math, and of course have a passion for video games. I ran into MC through Drambilia (aka evondrei, aka Quynn) in Rust. I was still figuring the game out and this guy sneaks up on me and a friend as we were just learning about rad town supply runs. Probably needless to say, but he scared the HELL out of us. It was full panic mode! Fortunately though, he was friendly and showed us the ropes, as well as what his fort looked like. That led to many an adventure in rust and beyond.

Overall, I ended up making some life long friends beyond games. Everyone in the community was very welcoming, and that drew me in. What solidified my coming back though was the conversations we had about stuff outside the games. The occasional advice on life situations, people to talk to about your issues, or to just laugh at the latest meme. People in the community genuinely cared and LISTENED. In the end, it was the personal level that kept me here, and that keeps me here today. We care about each other outside the games. The friendships I've made here aren't remotely frivolous, and to me, that's fantastic!

The oldpg site was brought out of retirement. :)

The old site was run using asp.net 1.1. Unfortunately this is only 32 bit. If I add asp.net 1.1 to the new 64 bit server it forces all the sites to be run in 32 bit mode. I didn't think it was worth the performance just to keep this old site around.

I took the time and felt like a challenge. I upgraded the old site to use the new asp/net 4.0 or higher to make it 64 bit compatible.

For those of you who want to reminisce, or those of you who are new here and want to readup on some of the historical posts that have taken place here in the MC community, I am finally providing a public link to the old site.

There are lot's of goodies there including:

Inox's Reviews (good console game reviews)
Forums
Pictures (I wish users would post more pix on the new site the way they used to on the old one)

The site has never been down, its was just moved and unlinked so that only a few of us knew how to get to it. The site is in READ ONLY mode so you can't post anything there or sign up anymore. We only want new posts in this forum. We were going to move the posts over originally but decided to start with a clean slate for the new site. If you had a login before it will still work and that is the only way you can access certain areas of the site. If you are new and need access to hidden areas, PM me and I'll see what if anything can be done.

Keep in mind the site goes to sleep when it not accessed for 20 minutes. No reason to waste resources. Just give it a minute to start up the web application on the server. Once it's been woken up it should respond pretty quickly.

Let me know if you find anything interesting in there. If you want o revive an old thread from there, the best way is to copy and paste from the old site and turn it into a quote. You can also link back to it as well. Please keep in mind what section a post was originally in and post it in the equivalent Forum here. DOn't post something from a private Forum in a public Forum here!

The Secret World is an amazing MMORPG, set in the Real World with Horror, Detective and Mystery all wrapped in one.

I recommend everyone trying it. after playing TSW, I find myself unable to play another MMO ever again due to the streamlined and grindless approach TSW takes to progression and skills.

Canadian Bacon

A few days ago I was out with my family and we went to a nice breakfast diner to eat. While looking at the menu I saw Canadian Bacon. I thought it was pretty funny Canada would have there own bacon named after them. Anyways, I started to wonder why it was named Canadian Bacon. Why do they get there own Bacon? How is it different from Ham? Why is it called Bacon at all if it's just Ham? I went on Ventrilo when I got home, and asked a Canadian. The conversation got more confusing from there. It turns out he didn't even know what Canadian Bacon is. If a Canadian doesn't know what Canadian Bacon is, who will?

I jumped onto Wikipedia today to do some research.

"Bacon is defined as any of certain cuts of meat taken from the sides, belly or back of a pig that may be cured and/or smoked."

So I thought "Is our Bacon called American Bacon elsewhere?". No, typical American Bacon is called "Streaky Bacon". "Rindless bacon, however, is quite common. In the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland, bacon comes in a wide variety of cuts and flavours whereas bacon in the United States is predominantly what is known as "streaky bacon", or "streaky rashers" in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland".

So...wait...if I went to a different country and ordered two eggs and a side of Bacon, what would I get? You would most likely get Canadian Bacon, although I'm not completly sure because I've never actually tried. "Bacon made from the meat on the back of the pig is referred to as back bacon and is part of traditional British and Irish breakfasts. In North America, back bacon may also be referred to as Canadian-style Bacon or Canadian Bacon."

So believe it or not fellow Americans, Bacon is not just the Bacon we think it is. There's all types of Bacon! Get out there and try them all.

Extra Bacon Information (straight from Wikipedia):

Streaky bacon comes from the belly of a pig. It is very fatty with long veins of fat running parallel to the rind. This is the most common form of bacon in the United States. Pancetta is Italian streaky bacon, smoked or green (unsmoked), with a strong flavour. It is generally rolled up into cylinders after curing.
Back bacon comes from the loin in the middle of the back of the pig. It is a lean meaty cut of bacon, with relatively less fat compared to other cuts and has a ham-like texture and flavour. Most bacon consumed in the United Kingdom is back bacon. ^[3]
Middle bacon is much like back bacon but is cheaper and somewhat fattier, with a richer flavour.
Cottage bacon, thinly sliced lean pork meat from a shoulder cut that is typically oval shaped and meaty. It is cured and then sliced into round pieces for baking or frying.
Jowl bacon, is cured and smoked cheeks of pork

Bacon joints include the following:

Collar bacon is taken from the back of a pig near the head.
Hock, from the hog ankle joint between the ham and the foot.
Gammon, from the hind leg, traditionally "Wiltshire cured".
Picnic bacon is from the picnic cut, which includes the shoulder beneath the blade.^[1] It is fairly lean, but tougher than most pork cuts.

Back bacon or Canadian bacon
Back bacon is a lean meaty cut of bacon.

Canadian bacon is a term used in the United States but elsewhere it is simply back bacon. It refers to any lean meaty cut of bacon, and is sometimes used as a pizza topping. In Canada back bacon is sometimes known as peameal bacon, which refers to a specific variety of unsmoked lean bacon that has been sweet pickle-cured and coated in yellow cornmeal (originally, as the name suggests, peameal was used). Other proteins, such as turkey and beef, can be made in the style of peameal bacon by employing this same sweet pickle and cornmeal process.

Web Server retirement party

The site has been migrated to a new server. After many years of reliable service I have finally retired the old Dell Server that has "Served" us so well for all these years.

I will most likely donate the old server hardware to my son's school. It is a technology based school so they will be able to put it to good use.

{MC} Community,

Most of you will remember me as my Counter Strike name "Stab-you-in-the-eye" which defined my middle-school career (despite my claims otherwise haha). I had a discussion with one of my classmates today about games we used to play back in the day and CS 1.6 was the big topic of discussion. Ultimately it made me think of the {MC} community which taught me some pretty valuable life lessons.

I am posting here hoping that the guys I hung out with...4-7 years ago... are still a part of this community and also to put some sort of closure to the "drama" I created as a kid. You guys made my childhood a lot better for me, even as I pretended to be older than I was. I was pretty bad at it, looking back on it =P. Regardless, I think it would be so cool to hear from all the ppl I used to know and chill in vent with on a daily basis if your still around.

The thing I came here to share is this....

I was asked to write an article for my school newspaper by one of the editors after talking to him for a while. It is about my childhood, and tries to shed some light while I try to help other kids who might be dealing with the same sort of problems. This is not a sob story from me to you guys, I am sincerely interested in your take on my role in this community so long ago after reading this.
