So I created a Ping Test Tool. This will be the the first of my Network Tools.

The features are as follows:

Ping any valid address by IP or Domain Name.

Remembers lst tested address

Pings continuously until stopped

Displays Real Time Packet Statistics

Adjustable Ping Settings

Delay - Time between pings

Size - Buffer size in Bytes

TTL - Time To Live

Timeout - How long the ping is good for before considered a Timeout

Don't Fragment Packets

Show All Pings - Display

Let me know what you think of this tool and I'm open to suggestions for the next version.

Installation:

Extract to a folder called network tools in your Program Files folder. Create a shortcut to the exe file and ping away!

Requires Microsoft .net Framework 3.5 to run. If you don't already have it, download it from Microsoft here.
Some really good tracks here. Great to listen to while fragging away on Rocket Arena!

NOTE: Rocket Arena's built in MP3 player was removed due to problems with Punkbuster so just extract it to your Music folder and play it from there. The Provided links are nearly ten years old and probably don't work.

[quote]Rocket Arena 3 Soundtrack Info
------------------------------

Thanks for downloading the Rocket Arena 3 Soundtrack.

If you installed the soundtrack into your Quake 3 directory, you should
find the MP3s in the \quake3\arena\music directory, along with a Winamp
playlist that you can use to play them. The ra3.m3u file is the playlist
used by Rocket Arena 3. If you installed the soundtrack correctly, the
playlist should be set up to play the RA3 tracks the first time you start RA3.

I'd like to give a big thanks to all the musicians that contributed to
the soundtrack - be sure to visit their sites and download or buy their other music!

So this map is basically taken from the concept of scooby-doo and a typical chase scene: you run into one door and you pop out a totally different door. The point of this map is for the Terrorists to make it across the hallway without dying (goodluck) and successfully plant the bomb.

Thanks for Downloading Starwars_trench2. I hope you enjoy it. This is the best one of the series.

This is a Star Wars themed map based on my classic starwars_trench map, which is based in the 4th episode of Star Wars, A New Hope. The Deathstar Trench Dogfight. Designed for low gravity (200 is perfect!). But also playable in regular gravity. Look for those places that you can only get to with low gravity (jetpack or hook mod).

MISSION:

REBEL ALLIANCE (Terrorists):
Bomb Carrier (Luke) has to get to the Exhaust port and plant the bomb to destroy the DeathStar before the DeathStar Destroys the Rebel Base.

HINT: Try to plant the Bomb so that it falls down the exhaust port so the Imperials can't defuse it!
Use the X-Wings to get to the Exhaust Port Faster. Use the Laser Turrets to provide cover fire for your Rebel teammates.

IMPERIAL FORCES (Counter-Terrorists): Prevent Luke from destroying the DeathStar and Destroy the Rebel Base. Use the Tie Fighters and the Laser Turrets to stop the Rebels.

FEATURES:

32 Spawns
Great for Sniping and Rushing!
Lots of team based strategy
Several Weapon caches in various strategic locations
Lots of Starwars sounds play throughout the round, keep you informed of key events
Fun in any gravity (Except anything higher than 1000, that's just ridiculous!)
Tie-Fighter and X-Wing to fly around the trench
Exploding Laser Turrets - Rebels fire Red lasers, Imperials fire Green lasers
several Control Rooms with Camera views
New Tunnel systems
Flyby dogfight (warning may cause damage!)
Gravator (GRAVity assisted eleVATOR)
Several Secret (More weapons!) areas to discover. Multiple ways to access them.
Turn Day into NIGHT!
Oh and don't forget my little friend, R2D2. He can be found hiding out amongst the Rebels.
Star Wars Credits - The map credits are done Star Wars style :)

INSPIRATION:

I have always been a big starwars fan. One of my favorite scenes is the Dogfight scene over the trench in episode 4 - Star Wars, A New Hope. After starwars_trench I made 2 more versions, starwars_trench_assault and starwars_trench_night these versions featured a fixed weapon configuration, MP5, Shotties, Pistols and few other new features, loads of fun. But I found I was missing the original weapons and the ability to buy. So here it is, basically starwars_trench_night during the day, with a few extra goodies thrown in. :)

Something I left out of the original trench for performance reasons was a Dogfight sequence that takes place over the trench. Ties chase X-wings and X-wings chase Ties, they blow each other up. So for this version I decided to add some of that back in. Look out for it!

Secret Rooms: Yeah this map has them. With multiple well hidden ways to get there.

If enough of you post in our forums requesting a Source version I may consider it...
So sign up and start posting!

Textures are mostly Half_Life Textures - with custom textures and custom texlights (Textured Lights). Most of the lighting is done with Texlights.

Enjoy!

INSTALLATION:

MISSION OBJECTIVE!!

REBEL ALLIANCE (T's):
Bomb Carrier (Luke) has to get to the Exhaust port and plant the bomb to destroy the DeathStar before the DeathStar Destroys the Rebel Base.

HINT:
Try to find the hidden room, secret room and Easter Egg!

IMPERIAL FORCES (CT's): Prevent Luke from destroying the DeathStar and Destroy the Rebel Base.

SPECIAL THANKS TO:
{MC}Mayhem (aka Dead) and {MC}Troop (aka Imaginary) for inspiring the whole Assault version concept, {MC}WARpedMind for the Gravator Idea

EXTREME BETA TESTERS:
{MC}Troop (aka Imaginary), {MC}Doded, [SS]Rush Retrospective

ADDITIONAL BETA TESTERS:
{MC}TyPhOOn-HOG, {MC}RadioRaheem, {MC}f1killer, {MC}INOX, [SS]Reign - Suicidal Youth, [SS]mongo treckker, bOo!, Rampage, Daniel, |cMc| jedi knight, Stab, Oblivion, {DOA} Sir_Arthur [eLiTe]

I never expected to revisit this map and make another version. It just happened! I was originally just going to add the guns and take out the old guns, but then I started thinking about some of the other stuff I wanted to do originally but didn't do to keep the map smaller. Nowadays there are lots of large maps, many servers have fast DL available so I decided to make a few changes...

The mission objective is still the same, but now with the smgs and pistols, it changes the whole concept. I wanted it to be more up close and personal, Yeah I know it's a big map but you can get close enough and the deagle makes an excellent sniper substitute! Requires more skill though...

SPECIAL FEATURES: (for those who actually read these things!)

HIDDEN ROOM - with a hidden hallway that leads to the hidden room.
SECRET ROOM - There are three triggers that must be activated to activate the teleporter to the Secret Room. The first trigger starts a 90 second timer to get to the second and third triggers, the third trigger opens the teleporter for 20 seconds. The teleporter location is marked by a small translucent rotating Imperial logo.
EASTER EGG - Well ok he's not an easter egg but he's cooler than the easter bunny! He's stored around the map somewhere...

ADDITIONAL FEATURES:
Turrets Explode - They remain functional, but cause damage.
Breakable lights - Not all are breakable though, not enough entities!
Gravator - This is my favorite new feature! Expect to see more of these in some of my future maps. They kind of remind me of the Quake jump pads, but not quite...
Bombsite has a Larger explosion, be careful!
Every Console in the map does something, some do more than one thing. It may not be obvious what it is doing. Experiment, explore and have fun!
New Secret areas and features...

Textures are mostly Half_Life Textures - Some new Custom Textures are also used in this map.
No Wad file needed.

This is a Star Wars themed map based in the 4th episode of Star Wars, A New Hope. The Deathstar Trench Dogfight. Designed for low gravity.

3 Weapon caches in various strategic locations
Lots of Starwars sounds play throughout the round, keep you informed of key events
Fun in any gravity (Except anything higher than 1000, that's just ridiculous!)
Tie-Fighters and X-Wings to fly around the trench
Laser Turrets - Rebels fire Red lasers, Imperials fire Green lasers
Control Room with 6 Camera views
Tunnel system
Flyby demo

INSPIRATION:

I have always been a big starwars fan. One of my favorite scenes is the Dogfight scene over the trench in episode 4 - Star Wars, A New Hope. For a few years I have hosted several CS servers that runs the Starwars2 map 24/7 and haVe always wanted to have a bit more of a strategy oriented map. I love the Tie Fighters G-man made for starwars2. I decided not to rip his and made my own from scratch (similar but different), I also added Xwings for variety and coolness.
I made it a point to use ONLY Half-Life textures to keep the file size down and for some reason it was more challenging to use existing Textures only. I actually made a WAD file with a bunch of cool textures I was going to use, then I decided not to use them for this map. I will probably use them in a future map. Something else I left out for performance reasons was a Dogfight sequence that takes place over the trench. Ties chase X-wings and X-wings chase Ties, they blow each other up. Very cool :) but it used a LOT of entities and added to the r_speeds and e_poly's. I left some of the sounds in for ambience. I think it adds excitement.

There is one cool little thing I left in. There is a Flyby that can only be seen once per mapchange. It's in the Rebel Base on the right center of the console, Enjoy!

Textures are all Half_Life Textures - No custom Textures used in this map. Part of the challenge for me was to use existing HL and CS textures. I was also trying to keep the file sizes down to a minimum.

{MC}Dead and {MC}ParaDOX
Presents: deads_nades
released 11-5-2004

MISSION:

Pick up a Nade and let fly!

Throw the Nades through the clear windows.

Watch your back though...

No weapons except Nades and Knife. :)

FEATURES:

32 spawns
Lots of Nades! (duh!)
Cool spinning logo thingy's
Glass wall to separate the teams
Tunnel to unseparate them! (if by some unlikely chance of events you manage to use up all of the nades)

INSPIRATION:

This map was thought up and designed by my 8 year old son, {MC}Dead. He had the idea while we were driving around one day. He described it to me and directed my hand at creating it in Hammer. He has since taken to using Hammer himself. Expect to see a few Solo efforts from some day! He dictated the size and positions of all of the geometry. The glass was all his idea also. He was very specific about the ability to have nades go throught the windows but not anything else.... I had a blast making this with him.

Textures are all Half_Life Textures - No custom Textures used in this map.

Trust me, it's worth a look, I even included a description of the area. Here's how this works: Download and install Google Earth, it's free. Save this file somewhere you can find it. Now go into google earth and do File>Open>FolderYouSavedThisTo>{MC} Secret Base Area.kmz

This map is not a map I expect everyone to want to play nor be
a crowd gatherer. If you want to run/play this map on a server, than feel free to spread the word. If you end up enjoying
this map, I'm glad I was able to provide you with something enjoyable. Just remember, don't give up the fight and give in to
VALVe's greed.

Credits:
{MC} Community for providing their time in play tests and advice (www.paradisesgarage.com)
Every company/organization that has their ads displayed in my map (182 different ads)
VALVe, for motivating me in creating this mess
The guy I downloaded the de_dust2 rmf file (google search)
The guy who created de_dust2. Sorry for destroying your work of art. (but isn't VALVe doing the same thing?)

Special thanks to {MC}Paradox for your extra assistance

Also thanks to:
{MC}Troop
{MC}Doded
{MC}DarkMidoriko
[SS]Stab
Hidden Leaf Village
any additional play testers I forgot....you know I love you guys.

Questions/Comments: E-mail me at RushRetrospective@gmail.com or hit me up at www.paradisesgarage.com

|N.F| tiger (STEAM_0:0:12661718) (3-21-07) (269kb-rar)

hacker @ {MC} Paradise CS Starwars2 Server

hacks observed: aim hacks
