you have to admit it is at least decent, occasionally I go through the sound folder of AO to listen sometimes, like the clan music we never hear as omni.

Re: origin of rpg
.... ..... ......

...... ...but I've never heard of 100 sided dice. That's got to be pretty close to a complete sphere! lol.
getting back to that, some of you have probably seen versions of 100 sided dice, online or elsewhere, the kind I have is like the one shown in the image below; the pair above the 12 & 20 sided dice on the bottom in there. The thing about using a 100 sided like that is defining how to roll a 1, a 10, or a 100 & that there is no zero since there is no zero on other dice.

Re: Cooking with USB Ports!
One thing most people don't realize is that there is a limit to how much power you can safely get out of a USB port. If you exceed that, you can blow a fuse or cause some other failure.

Personally I wouldn't plug anything into my USB port that isn't a computer related accessory.

I still think it's cool that you CAN do these things.
true so the most I've ever used usb for is charging an mp3 player on occasion, outside of devices that use usb ports. I used to use a hub but not anymore, it is PnP after all so if I don't have enough ports something will probably get shifted to the laptop, usb luxuries are just a geek thing lol

Re: Cooking with USB Ports!

That's all not bad, if I had a tiny place I might consider it lol & here's a nice compliment to go along with that http://www.scientificsonline.com/usb-refrigerator.html

Re: Government Admits Spying Over Facebook

Ever wonder how Zuckerberg got rich? The social network is a good movie to watch, but the only thing I don't like is it cuts back & forth in time too much, it doesn't confuse me I just don't like shows that do that more than 2-3 times.

Khaliss / Dakotakid

Hey all, well I'm still fairly new this year, can't remember when I joined, but have been mainly playing anarchy online since 2006, if I were to have met anyone here before then it would have been through secondlife, which I rarely play -can I say play? maybe log onto lol.

I'm in the mid-west as some of you know already, thought it would be a good idea to post an intro as a bunch of new folks are joining in our AO org. Getting towards being known as an org that does a lot of raids in SL/LE/XAN - pvp areas has always been part of the exciting aspect in AO. Khaliss is mainly who I'll be going by or Dakotakid. I'm into movies offline, but who's not these day? The majority of my movies are sci-fi, I'm at the point where I can say you name it I've seen it, if not its probably on my list to see. Anyway I'm looking forward to seeing AO grow & FC always working on improving the game, & looks like there's more of you all to meet ingame yet.

origin of rpg

First off I'll say I was going to put this under the MMORPG section but it said something about having permission, so it comes to general. Once while playing AO & chatting on TS we were talking about AO generally, but I tend to reflect on the original RPG (Dungeons & Dragons) & how it spawned so many other RPG's, some better, some worse, well I bring up the matter of creation of D&D, the original RPG to see Sword & Para's opinion of D&D ..& neither of them heard of it.

I was surprised they never heard of D&D! I thought every RPG style gamer knew something of D&D, I was probably 8 years old by the time I heard of D&D though I never played it 'til the mid-90's because no one I knew played it, actually I played the AD&D version. D&D inspired a cartoon that I remember watching in my youth in the 80's http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085011/ , also a movie at the turn of the century http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0190374/.

Sadly the inventor & co-inventor have died in recent years http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/7278927.stm http://articles.cnn.com/2009-04-10/entertainment/obit.david.lance.arneson_1_dungeons-dragons-gary-gygax-role-playing?_s=PM:SHOWBIZ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_Gygax

I have probably about $600 worth of AD&D books/guides I bought back when I played, 1 full blood red set of dice, 1 full transparent-gold sparkle set of dice, & 1 complete set of noob color coded dice including a 100 sided dice, yes a one hundred sided dice, no campaigns but when you have a DMG & character guides all you need is imagination, in playing the only limits are by imagination. So back to the 1st topic, sorry if this shouldn't be here but hope you found it interesting.

Re: Some AO Humor - Leetville

hee hee, who said anything about volunteering? I thought of a funny video parody about 'going to SL' tho; where we would gear up & get ready to go do something in SL yet when we zoned through whompah or from wherever we end up in 2nd life (cut from zoning in AO to teleport complete in 2nd life), recutting a few times with a good story would be hilarious I'm sure, make some use out of old 2nd life toons, some video editing wouls have to be done to get AO names over 2nd life names lol.

Re: Some AO Humor - Leetville

We could always use more AO humor, maybe someone could make a short MC Labs movie

Re: Atlas of Shadowlands // Rubi-ka Download Links

should update with Itemassistant, Implanthelper, & clicksaver, don't know the links but they couldn't be hard to search for.
