His own custom gun, and there was no time information after he completed each round. He may have been using a GMOD version. Reverse speed cvar increased? Now now...you can't criticize because you can not comprehend. He did a commentary to explain everything that he did. He segmented(took out the loading screen) the video so that it would reduce the time on the video. He is using the official version and from my knowledge, you can't play portal in gmod that way. If you ever load a portal map on gmod it will give you the standard gmod layout, Q-menu, Hud, physgun, gravgun, etc.
For the custom model gun, i dunno how to explain that, he may have recompiled the gcf file for all i know. It's probably some where on the internet how to do it.

Reverse speed cvar increased?
The Climb mod for 1.6 and Source is where the back speed is based from. Bunny hopping backwards is basically what he does, he said he has an auto hotkey to automatically do the hopping for him. So there was no speed cvar increase, it is very common for climb experts.
So before you criticize you should watch how he explains how he did everything.
