The Foundation has strict PVP Policies that are meant to ensure fair and honorable play.

The Foundation's PVP Code of Conduct:

  1. Do not spawn camp. Under no circumstances should this rule be broken. It's cheap and shows a lack of maturity. (If you are being griefed let your guildmates know and we will attempt to resolve the issue by whatever means necessary).
  2. Wait for your enemy to finish battle before attacking. Waiting for them to heal is not necessary.
  3. Do not attack characters more than five levels below you, unless in self defense or for revenge.
  4. Be honorable. Do not grief your opponent. If you have an issue take it up with the guild leaders and we will attempt to resolve it.

That being said, the bottom line is have fun and let other people have fun. If people mess with us, we will fight back, with a vengeance!

Our rules may change as the need arises, so check back here often....

What is the Official Funcom PvP Policy for Age of Conan?

The biggest rule of thumb during PvP is simply "play fair, have fun". Unfortunately not everyone agrees on what is fair or fun.

When you are PvPing on one of our PvP servers, virtually all areas are open to PvP combat, and you will more than likely be attacked during your time in-game. When this happens, please remember that playing on a PvP server is considered to be consent to participate in open PvP combat with other players. If you feel that someone is aggressively following you then we suggest remember one thing before petitioning:

As long as there is a PvP solution to a situation, GMs and Followers will not step in.

A number of options are available to players so that they may eventually remove themselves from an unfavorable PvP situation:
  • Players are granted temporary immunity to damage when spawning and when zoning into new areas. This immunity lasts for 20 seconds or until the player enters combat mode.
  • Players may choose to respawn at another location in their current zone if one is available.
  • Players may use their Path of Asura to return to their bind point at a non-PvP city hub. The casting time for this ability is greatly reduced while the Shild of the Risen buff is active.
  • Players may change to another instance of their current zone if one is available.

Should the existing mechanics fail or be circumvented then a GM or Volunteer may intervene. If you find that you do not enjoy the dynamic gameplay that a PvP environment provides, we have several PvE and RP-PvE servers to choose from.
