Front page update for information on changes occurring in the {MC} community/site and world in general.
A year ago, a moment in {MC} history sparked the return of many faces who seem to have been lost in time. Last Year, on August 19th and August 20th, {MC} held the annual {MC} Pre-union and Reunion
respectively. This year should not be any different. We are calling all
of you! You, those who helped make {MC} what it is today over the
years. We are calling you out to join the new {MC} site and let us know
what day(s) and time(s) we should hold this event as well as discussion

Over the last year, many, many, many, and many more events have
occurred that you may not have known about. The {MC} Reunion/Pre-union
will tie together the events of the year into one big bash. The events
cover many different topics.
MAPS!
Many maps have been created over the course of the year.
ParaDOX has made (too many) versions of the famous starwars_trench map. These maps include starwars_trench_assault which is a totally revamped version of starwars_trench using assault weaponry (I.E. Shotguns, MP5's, Deagles and Dualies) and also features the frustrating "secret room". Also released in the starwars_trench series is starwars_trench_night which is starwars_trench_assault
in the dark with even more eye candies and goodies that could not even
be imagined in the original starwars_trench. There is also another
child about to be born in the Starwars_trench series which may be
released during the Pre-union/Reunion bash.
Rush Retrospective, a new {MC} member within the last year,
has released 3 Counter-Strike 1.6 maps and one Half-Life 1 map. The one
map that has been a big sensation throughout the counter-strike world
is de_dust2_ads which is the famous de_dust2 but covered 100% in
annoying ads in rebellion to Valves recent addition of in game ads. Whack_a_mole,
a fun nipper-like map involves counter-terrorists and terrorists being
pushed up and down vent grates like the fun carnival game attacking one
another with shotguns. Whack_a_mole_hl is the Half Life map based exactly off of whack_a_mole
on counter-strike but using half life weapons (rocket launchers and
shotguns). Finally, the newest map added to the collection is the_hallway which bases the players in a medieval dungeonish hallway in which each room can cause you to end up in a totally random location (like they do in Scooby-Doo).
Troop, released one map within the last year called shotgun_warehouse.
This is a melee styled defuse map in which you run around through a
large warehouse room filled with (breakable) boxes and running around
with shotguns throughout this room or in the vent system to kill one
another or blow up the place.
Stab also released one map this last year called scoutzmaniaz. This map is like a scoutzknivez map in which you run around an extremely large room ducking for cover hoping your enemy isn't sniping you out from behind objects. There are also several secret rooms and other randomness’s around.
Cash, another mapper released a map simply called, box. Box is like the name explains, your
running up and down ladders throughout this large box like room trying
to kill your enemies. Don’t forget to try to find the secret rooms and
areas.
Several other community members worked on various other maps as well. Not all of them have been released as of yet though.
NEW SITE!
A long time has passed since www.paradisesgarage.com has had a facelift. With the release of Telligent's community server 2007,
and the community’s desire for a new look for the site, this project
was made possible. This site is much more powerful than the old site
allowing users to actually make blogs or
run and manage photo galleries and edit their own more personal profile
while still giving the site a very snazzy look. This site is the center
to everything that goes on in the {MC} community and it needs you.
Today, when you receive this newsletter, be sure to sign up and post
away. We all love something to read at work or school.
NEW SERVERS/GAMES!
Last year, {MC} had about 6 or 7 servers available to the public.
This included 4 counter strike 1.6 servers, 1 counter-strike source
server, 1 dystopia beta server and a garrys
mod 9 server. For a clan, this is an extraordinary amount of servers.
But {MC} doesn't stand for "extraordinary". To date, {MC} has 10
counter strike 1.6 servers, 1 Dystopia version 1 server, 1
Eternal-Silence server, 2 Counter-Strike Source Servers, 1 Day of
Defeat Source Servers, 1 Garrys Mod 10
Server, and possibly more on the way! This is because of a wide variety
of support of new and old community supporters, and games now available
and of interest to our players. Beyond game servers though, we have
other servers that serve enjoyment to our players. We have a new public
Ventrilo server so that community supporters can hang out and have fun
regardless of what you’re playing. To join this server, use the
following IP/Port: IP - vent2.paradisesgarage.com port - 2318. Don't
like vent but have friends in the community who use team speak? No
Problem! We also have a Teamspeak server for use. And for those of you who love to listen to good 'ol music while fragging those people who are making you mad, you can tune into our commercial free Shoutcast server playing all assortments of music 24/7. See the site for information on all our servers and how to find them.
Now that you know what’s been going on in the {MC} community, it's
time for you to join us in the {MC} Reunion/Pre-union. But before you
